V\u00e9g\u00fcl pedig mik\u00e9nt m\u00f3dosultak a nemzeti t\u00f6rt\u00e9neti elbesz\u00e9l\u00e9sek, els\u0151sorban a r\u00e9gi\u00f3 eg\u00e9sz\u00e9hez val\u00f3 viszonyukban az elm\u00falt \u00e9vtizedekben?<\/p>\n

A konferencia form\u00e1tuma nem szokv\u00e1nyos, a felk\u00e9rt r\u00e9sztvev\u0151k egy moder\u00e1tor vezet\u00e9s\u00e9vel kerekasztal-besz\u00e9lget\u00e9s form\u00e1j\u00e1ban tekintik \u00e1t saj\u00e1t r\u00e9szter\u00fclet\u00fck fejlem\u00e9nyeit \u00e9s annak lehets\u00e9ges hat\u00e1s\u00e1t a region\u00e1lis t\u00f6rt\u00e9nelmi elbesz\u00e9l\u00e9sekre. Ennek megfelel\u0151en a konferencia s\u00falypontja a besz\u00e9lget\u00e9s, a k\u00f6z\u00f6ns\u00e9g min\u00e9l akt\u00edvabb r\u00e9szv\u00e9tel\u00e9vel. Megh\u00edvottjaink a hazai \u00e9s k\u00fclf\u00f6ldi t\u00f6rt\u00e9net\u00edr\u00e1s k\u00fcl\u00f6nb\u00f6z\u0151 gener\u00e1ci\u00f3it k\u00e9pviselik, a kommunik\u00e1ci\u00f3 megk\u00f6nny\u00edt\u00e9s\u00e9re szinkrontolm\u00e1csol\u00e1st biztos\u00edtunk.<\/p>\n

The last decades brought important changes in history and historiography. Not only new approaches made headways, but sometimes old consensus of traditional fields was also questioned too. This process went hand in and with the questioning slow erosion of the self-evident national frame of historiography, a special challenge for historians of Central and Eastern Europe. At our conference, dedicated to Emil Niederhauser, born 100 years ago in Bratislava, whose work still defines Hungarian scholarship on the region and Istv\u00e1n De\u00e1k we inquire about how these developments influence narratives of the broader region, what kind of new narratives could emerge from the delegitimating of national narratives? How can we apply new trends born from the historiography of other regions, how these shift national histories or our vision of the whole region? Finally, how national narratives changed, especially regarding the resituating of the region and their national histories within?<\/span><\/p>\n

We opted for a non-conventional format of six roundtables, each dedicated to a special sub-discipline and one keynote. The invited speakers and a moderator look at the developments on their own specific fields and their potential influence on the broader regional story. Discussion is at the focus of the conference, involving the audience as much as possible too. The speakers represent different generations of Hungarian and international scholarship, communication is made easier with simultaneous translation.<\/span><\/p>\n
