Bio
I studied Geography BSc (2010-2013) and MSc (2013-2016) at the Eötvös Loránd University (Budapest, Hungary). From 2015 to 2016 I was researcher in the Hungarian Central Statistical Office Library (Budapest) and I participated in the “Our Field is the World”: Geographical Societies 1821–1914 in International Comparison Project C1 – Collaborative Research Centre (SFB) 1199: Processes of Spatialization under the Global Condition at Leibniz Institute for Regional Geography (Leipzig, Germany) from 2016 to 2017. Since 2017 I am PhD student at Leipzig University (Graduate School Global and Area Studies).
Current Research Project
Zwischen Universalisierung und Individualisierung: Ethnogeographische Karten in und zu Ostmitteleuropa 1900-1950 im internationalen Vergleich
Currently I research on the history of ethnic mapping of Central-Europe in the first half of the 20. century. I focus my PhD-project on the mapping of various national space contructions and the role of the international knowledge transfer prosesses in the development of the ethnic mapping. In my thesis I comparise the various detailed ethnographical map series, what were produced for the peace negotations after the WWI.
