I am a doctoral researcher in History at the European University Institute (Florence, Italy) and my research interests primarily concern the cultural and political history of Central and Southeastern Europe in the long nineteenth century and interwar periods. My previous research has mainly focused on the role that textbooks and popular education played in collective identity formation during the late Habsburg Empire. At the moment, I am working on a doctoral dissertation that examines post-imperial transitions and the popular reception of nationalist mobilization in the formerly Habsburg provinces of interwar Yugoslavia.
