Georgios Giannakopoulos / Biography

Lívia Prosinger · May 19, 2022 ·

I am a lecturer in Modern History at the Department of International Politics, City University of London. I also teach international history and politics at the LSE.  I have held teaching and research positions at Queen Mary University of London, UCL, Durham University, NYU, the University of the Peloponnese, the Hellenic Open University, the Academy of Athens and King’s College London.  My research focuses on the history and politics of Britain and southeastern Europe since the late nineteenth century. I have published widely on 19th and 20th century Modern European History and I am currently completing a monograph provisionally titled: the Interpreters: British Intellectuals and Imperial Order in Southeastern Europe (1870-1930).
